Family Activity Holidays

Activity holidays are a great way for active families to share family adventures and create powerful bonding moments by pushing boundaries, laughing and having fun together.

Fully Customisable Multi Activity Holidays:

Our most popular family activity holidays are our fully customisable summer activity holidays and winter multi activity holidays. These family adventure holidays all include activity points that you can exchange for a wide range of activities.

In the summer holidays or spring or autumn half terms,  activities could include white water rafting, a night in a refuge, via ferrata, rock climbing, river or lake kayaking, biking, canyoning and many more family friendly adventures.

For winter holidays families can try skiing, husky sledding, igloo building, a night in a winter refuge, ice climbing, snowshoeing and more!

Local experts:

Our local experts will take your choices and put together your personalized itinerary using their local expertise and knowledge so that you can make the most of the area and the activities and adventures you have chosen.

Families with mixed ages:

Thanks to the wide range of family friendly activities available these holidays are perfectly adaptable for all ages. So, whether you are planning your last family holiday with older teenagers before they go off into the big wide world on their own or catering for young children, you will find the perfect adventures and activities for your family.

You can also share points around and do different activities within your family. For families with mixed ages and abilities this flexible formula works perfectly.

Family Friendly Walking, Biking and Skiing Holidays:

We also have other family friendly activity holidays that are based on specific sport interests. These sorts of holidays work really well when the whole family is into a particular sport like skiing or walking or biking. Some of these also include activity points so you can mix up your main sport with a few mornings or afternoons doing other things.

FAQ

What age children do you cater for?

We have many different activity holidays suitable for all ages and abilities. Probably our most popular holiday is our customisable summer multi activity holiday in the Alps as it has a wide range of activities catering for all ages from very young children up to teenagers and adults. To have access to a wide range of activities, age 6 or 7 is a good starting age and for some of the more extreme versions of the activities age 13.

Can babies and infants come along?

Some holidays have a minimum age for the holiday but babies and toddlers are welcome to join all our customisable multi activity holidays and we even have some activities suitable for this age, such as specially adapted high ropes adventure courses and a night in a refuge. If some of your family are choosing activities that your infants can't participate in we will help you organise your holiday around this to make sure someone is always available to look after the little one. We can also arrange child care in local creches and accredited babysitters.

Do parents have to participate in all the activities?

If you choose a customisable holiday like our summer multi activity holiday, you choose what activities you would like to do and don't all have to do the same or even participate in activities all if you don't want to. We tailor your itinerary around your choices to suit your family and make sure it all works logistically for everyone! If you choose a holiday with a fixed itinerary like our e-biking trip from the Alps to Provence, then you will be following the same itinerary together as it is a set route.

What about Single Parents?

Undiscovered Mountains holidays are perfect for single parents as we have lots of families and opportunities for both parents and children to meet and socialise with others.
