The Champsaur valley is unique in the Southern French Alps for its preservation of the five small ski villages scattered up the valley on the way into the big ski resort of Orcières 1850.
If you like traditional alpine French villages and prefer friendly, calm and relaxed skiing without lift queues in beautiful surroundings then you will love skiing in the Champsaur ski villages. There are five to choose from, all within 20 minutes drive from each other. All the ski villages have crèche and babysitting facilities nearby, ski school and some have a ski kindergarten.
With your holiday you also have your activity points so you can have a go at some other winter activities to spice up your week! Try ice climbing, husky dog sledding, snowshoeing and more...
The villages have a mixture of chair and button lifts with between 5 and 14 ski lifts per village so it is virtually impossible to get lost but there is enough variety to have a really good ski. The atmosphere is family friendly and relaxed - you won't see queue barging or pushing.
With this holiday you have a four day pass to the villages and a two day pass to Orcières the big resort at the top of the valley.
This means you can discover all the villages and combine your skiing with a bit of cultural sightseeing and still experience a big resort with all its bells and whistles at the end of your holiday!
