The day begins with your guides picking you up in the morning to take you to the Chamooleon Valley, a wild and unspoilt Alpine region that's perfect for those looking to escape into nature. Here, you'll visit the shepherd's museum nestled in this serene valley, offering a deep dive into the life of Alpine shepherds. The guided tour will reveal how this challenging and important role has evolved over the years, especially with the return of the wolf to these parts, adding a fascinating dynamic to the shepherding lifestyle.
Following the museum tour, engage hands-on in a traditional wool workshop. This immersive activity allows you to work with wool, a staple of Alpine craft, where you will learn the techniques to create your own woolen masterpiece—a unique and tangible connection to the local culture.
After a picnic lunch amidst the scenic backdrop of the valley, you'll set off on your hike to the mountain refuge. This trek is not just a physical journey but also a chance to spot local wildlife and enjoy the variety of wild flowers that change as you ascend.
